Blu Dot Estate Vineyard

Here at Blu Dot we are committed to crafting quality wines, and that begins in the vineyard.

Our estate vineyard is roughly 10 acres consisting of 6,000 vines. Each individual vine is handled with care throughout its growing cycle. We do a TON of vineyard walking to oversee the health of our vines. It’s the most peaceful place to be on the farm, and they really enjoy when Jennie talks to them!

Our Soil & Vines

The terroir at Blu Dot is directly influenced by the Great Lakes and glacial drift. We have significantly rocky, loam soil that not only houses a ton of nutrients for our vines, but also some unbelievable fossils, limestone and Petoskey stones. Due to these key factors our white wines generally showcase a lovely mineral presence on the palate.

Our estate vineyard is currently growing 9 different varietals: Marquette, Itasca, Traminette, Frontenac Gris, Sauvignon Rytos and Auxerrois, Leon Millot, Rielsing and Pinot Blanc. With this kind of line up you can expect a fantastic white blend coming out of Blu Dot in the years to come!

“From asparagus to horses and now wine! Blu Dot Farm has a unique and interesting history. It’s a place where people gathered, entertained and made lifelong memories. Blu Dot Farm is a special place.”
